Dr.-Ing. Christian Bartels von Varnbüler

Managing Partner

  • Born in 1961

  • 1989: Graduate engineer in metallurgy and iron metallurgy at RWTH Aachen University

  • 1994: Doctorate in engineering at RWTH Aachen University

Before joining the Küttner Group in 2000, Mr. Bartels spent eleven years with Thyssen Krupp AG in various management positions.

Dr. iur. Karl Isken

Managing Partner (CFO)

  • Born in 1959

  • 1985: 1st state examination in law at the University of Münster

  • 1989: 2nd state examination

  • 1990: Doctorate (Dr. iur.) at the University of Münster, Germany

Before joining the Küttner Group in 2006, Mr. Isken worked for LTU Group for 15 years in various management positions, initially as in-house counsel and finally as a member of the Executive Board. Mr. Isken is a specialist lawyer for labour law and Interim Executive EBS.

Dr.-Ing. Jan Hendrik Meier-Kortwig

Managing Partner

  • Born in 1971, Germany

  • 1997: Graduate engineer Processing and Finishing of the Faculty of Mining, Metallurgy and Earth Sciences, RWTH Aachen University

  • 2001: Doctorate in engineering at RWTH Aachen University

Before joining the Küttner Group in 2013, Mr. Meier-Kortwig held various management positions at Siempelkamp and SMS Mevac.

Dr.-Ing. Peter Weber

  • Born in 1963

  • 1983: Graduate engineer metallurgy / ferrous metallurgy Technical University Clausthal-Zellerfeld

  • 1989: Ph.D. (Pyrometallurgy) University of Witwatersrand, South Africa

Before joining the Küttner Group in 2015, Mr Weber first held various management positions at Lurgi Metallurgie before joining the Outotec Group in 2006 as a member of the Executive Board with responsibility for a wide range of business areas.

Dipl.-Ing. Lothar Jungemann

Managing Partner (COO)

  • Born in 1964

  • 1983: Engineering studies at the Technical University Clausthal-Zellerfeld

Before joining the Küttner Group in 2020 Mr. Jungemann first held various management positions at Krupp Polysius AG since 1989. In 2007 he became managing director of Uhde GmbH. In 2013 he took over the management of ThyssenKrupp Resource Technologies. Since 2018 he worked for a private equity company.
