DeLavaud – Centrifugal Casting Machine

Ductile Iron Pipe Production according to ISO 2531, AWWA C151, etc.

In contrast to the hot mold process, in the Delavaud centrifugal casting machines the casting mold is rotating in a water jacket. The method is specifically designed for the production of cast iron pipes in ductile iron (SG). In accordance with standards ISO 2531 or AWWA C151, ductile iron pipes with sockets are produced in nominal sizes 80 - 1,200mm.

A precise process monitoring and control allows highest possible reproducibility and material efficiency. Special sensor technology enables among other thingsto detect the liquid iron in the casting mold visually and trigger subsequent process steps with it.

Individual DeLavaud centrifugal casting machines are commonly integrated into an existing cast iron pipe production line. Küttner takes care of the complete integration, from the planning up to commissioning.

As an engineering service we also offer the complete project support for a complete ductile iron pipe production. From the melting operation, centrifugal casting, heat treatment, machining, coating, quality control to logistics, we can offer you a turnkey solution.
